Hey, I'm wondering, I always see people with knobs on their circuit bent device, and when they turn the knob, the device changes in pitch.

Is there any sure-fire-non-trial-and-error-strategic way to do this?

I'm afraid not .. circuit bending in essence is an experimental thing.

welcome to the forum.

If you see a PCB with a small black blob and a loely resistor beside it, that resistor prob controls the pitch. Lick your fnigers and touch both ends of the resistor while playing a sound. Wink

im having a problem with finding ways to bend the pitch UP..i can bend it down and when im touching the circuits i can get it to speed up. does this require a different kind of pot??

nope, it has nothing to do with another kind of pot. Pots just resist, what they resist is up to you.
There is no sure fire way to find a pitch up, with lots of my experiments i could only find a pitch down and a pitch up connection never could be found.

If you do find a pitch down and a pitch up, and if they come from the same wire connection. Thats wire A to connection B (pitch down) and wire A to connection C (pitch up) you can wire a pot to do both pitch up and down.
Connect wire A to the middle solder node of a pot, then a wire from connection B and C to the other nods. You should be able to then control the pitch up and down with just one pot. Of course, its all about experimenting, your going to have to try different ranges of pots to find whats most effective.

Plus, some times pitch up and downs only really work with body contacts and a full strength wire connection will just result in silence. In these instances try some resistance between the two.

Its all just experimenting, try try try try try and try again

yeah, another kwestion for yalls.

can you CB a distor pedal for guitar to pitch bend.

ONCE THOUGHT IMPOSSIBLE.

the factory circuit bent a knob on mine that let me control gain Very Happy. (that was a joke, i'm not retarded.)
