Yamaha CS-15 Filter CV In Jack? |
 |
|
Hey all, I've scoured the internet trying to find info on adding a filter CV jack (or separate ones for each VCF), but I can't find anything. I managed to find a PDF of the Don Solaris mods hiding in the Internet Wayback Machine, but no info on adding filter CV there.
Has anyone done this mod? I assume it'd be relatively easy, but I'm not the best schematic reader.
Thanks in advance. |

Caveat - haven't done it on mine - but I reckon that sending a 0-10V CV signal through a ~39K resistor to the point where everything else joins together before the diode on the way into Vf (pin 4?) on the IG00156 would do it.
I fret about it because the filter chips are going to be next-to-impossible to replace if I did fry them. Might want to just buffer and limit the CV input.
It should be do-able to figure out some cunning switching arrangement to optionally control both filters separately. |

Well got back from work… already did yesterday, but forgot to Reply...
After digging out the case buried deep under several tons of electronic trash and other stuff, i can tell you that i did at least those three mods: the LFO rate mod, something with ext.(Signal???)/noise Routing... guess that's switching between ext.Signal and int.noise source and at least separate CV Inputs for both VCFs, separately switchable and linking of external CV... don't know actually what this was, i had to read it up again… didn't used the CS-15 for years now and haven't saved the docs or anything else i made…
summary i have 3 additional Input/Output (2xVCF CV in + 1LFO out???)
and 5 switches added _________________ https://soundcloud.com/bastian-j |
