I am looking for a software engineer to help me bring a couple of designs to market. This would be project based work. Pretty simple stuff, no DSP.

Thanx for the bandwidth. If this is not appropriate for this sub forum, I will gladly remove this post. I thought this might be a good place to start my search.

You mention software, but it's in a forum for uP and programmable logic devices. Are you looking for someone to do PC stuff (software) or embedded systems (firmware)? The tools and skills involved with each can vary considerably. Sorry if you already realize that, I just want to help clarify so that you get more appropriate responses.

Let me know when you start adding DSP into your synth modules Smile

Hello Skrasms,

I am seeking somebody to do firmware for embedded systems. Microcontrollers. I guess I have always heard the term software engineer used for this, but you, being in the field (as I can see from your web page), would know better. Should I change the subject line?

Thanx,

Tony

I think its quite clear from the tiltle and the post what sort of a programmer you are looking for ... I'd call it an embedded systems programmer but then again such is a very broad range of expertise as well, ranging from tiny 8 bit controllers to almost pc like platforms ... maybe an indication about the platform would be helpful, like PIC 16 or Atmel or Arm 9. Anyway, such would be my fisrts questions would I apply for the job.
