Found an organ spring tank of about 40cm in length.
The two springs are noticably of different flexability.
Even the original amplifier is attached to the tank.
I'm sure there must be some nice things to do with this item.
So, any tips and recommandations?

I love spring reverb. Those super models you have showing it off almost destract me from what a nice reverb you have there. Very Happy

I have no great recommendations. I just pipe some signal through mine and enjoy what comes out the other end. I am however very excited to see what you come up with.

They do make an extremely cumbersome analog puls to sign wave converter.

So much nice stuf, so little time Rolling Eyes

I guess you have to be patient to see the result of this spring reverb, I have so many things in the pipeline...
At the moment I'm working on a drum module á la Jan Ostman with a Maxim MAX7401 filter added, the same filter I plan to use with a multiple PT2399 and my trigger generator isn't working like it supposed to be...

Here is a link to my favorite spring reverb project.

Probably not what you are looking for but interesting to have a look at.

The fact that you have the matched amplifiers will make experimenting a hole lot easier.

That's uh, "special" Smile didn't know that one, good find!

This is an elaborate spring reverb module (peruse schematics):

Good general info:

Befaco also has a project (they also have kits) but they fitted a whimpy reverb drive circuit, most tanks need something beefier.

Thank you, great reading stuff!
I allso need info about 'wet' and 'dry' mixer theory, I know a little about it, but not enough to design a usefull module myself. So in the mean time I keep digging the net for info.

Grumble, you have never steered me wrong. Your knowledge is so impresive.

On getting a tank reverb how you like it, in my experience, ( which is a lot more when it comes to guitar amps) it's better to breadboard with a lot of trimmers and find what you like. There is no equation for perfection in that realm. Only what you like to hear, and each tank can vary a little. This is an area where the best professional guitar players pay big bucks to have people make it sound how they want. Even if it isn't mathematically correct.

You may not agree. But I say get it close and play with it till you love it.

My reverb in and outs have trimmers everywhere. I do prefer to transformer tie to the tank, but you have existing amps to start with. They are probably matched very nicely.

You are going to do something awesome with this.

You may not have as much luck staying in the lower voltage realm with what you have.
