 |
|
Hey,
Has anyone tried to install the super sounds pack for nord wave? I downloaded and unzipped. Had manager up and runnin, wave attached. managed to drag and drop one file but after that "download failed". Couldn't find a place to browse for entire banks, add file/folder didn't work either. ANyone else have this prob?
Thanks
P.S. the one file I did manage to upload sound phat. |

I got mine installed without any trouble. Make sure your OS is 2.0.2. I downloaded the entire package from this page:
http://www.nordkeyboards.com/main.asp?tm=Products&clpm=Nord_Wave&clnwm=Program_Library
Right above the US & FM banks there is a section titled NORD WAVE SUPER SOUNDS FACTORY PROGRAMS. It states that "This will ship as the default internal memory with the coming Nord Waves from now on." I downloaded that and installed it with no trouble. This gives you 1024 sounds to use as starting points - great stuff. |

Hey, so I figured out that I was using "Nord Wave Manager" instead of the necessary Sound manager. Now I've been able to get some of the super sound banks onto the wave. But they won't all fit. I've seen some repeats tho btwn the super sounds and the ones that originally came on the wave. Does the super sound pack represent everything that was factory installed plus a bunch of new stuff, or are these just variations with the same name? Is it possible to get everything from the new sounds in addition to the originals and still have room for my own user-created variations or do I have to weed through everything and figure out what I do and do not want?
Appreciate the help. |

| I just replaced everything whole hog with that set I downloaded. I seem to recall the samples being replace but I don't recall to be honest. They all fit though and the sounds seem to work fine. Take a close read at what is on the web site and in the download section for the wave. |

I just picked one up used last night.
Dowloaded the 2.02 OS.
installed the sound manager and did a restore from the super sounds and samples file.
took a while but worked like a charm!
now i just have to figure out what this baby can do. |
