Recording of a session in 1979 at studio Kramer, Vlijmen NL
It should have been published as a vinyl LP, but never made it, due to financial fuzz

Prachtig, I like it very very much..

..and all I want to critique is the availability. You could upload all your songs to bandcamp/soundcloud/... and have an online player (playing the original quality) and give people an option to download the songs in all sorts of formats.
.ogg files don't work in my itunes and I have to use vlc player for they are hard to convert.

Otherwise the music is great and should be heard by the masses! Smile

I'm sorry, I'm not going to give in on this.
I stick with .ogg, because it's open source and offers better panning and dynamics than mp3.
And I'm not going to upload to some free soundcamp, because I want to keep control over my publications.

There are always compatibility problems, but it's always temporary.
Firefox is now able to stream oggfiles with a native plugin.
Maybe I'm going to publish in the .flac format. Then the discussion will start again.

If you want a versatile converter, try Winlame

Thanks guys.

As a bonus I found a recording from a few years later with a second version of Eastwind

I wasn't suggesting uploading mp3's!? You can upload and stream 24 bit wav files if you like! Is .ogg better than those? I don't know, nor care.

Why judge a book by it's cover, have you read the policy on "soundcamp"!?

..winlame doesn't open on my mac. nor do components with a .7z extention! Sorry.

Again, I really enjoyed your music and was only suggesting something in your favor, I was not trying to convert you to the darkside or sell-out! Please stick to the apparently superior .ogg format and I will listen to your music on my vlc player, because I like it and that is what counts.
Please don't take my words in any wrong way!

And keep up the good work. Very Happy

I didn't take your words in a wrong way, your intention is ok, but I just explained how I handle these things.

Of course it's not better, because it's lossy compression.
And I just don't have the time to upload .wav files. And using 24 bit makes no sense if the original is 16 bit.

I don't have to. I have my own website, I have a sponsor for additional server space, and I'm happy with it.
Maybe 35 years ago I would have been pleased with some promotion, now I don't care anymore.

Ah.. a mac.. I suspected that. Check this page for some mac 7zip packers
There are several free ogg players/converters for mac at sourgeforce
