Hi Guys,

I have my initial modular setup and have what I thought the basics would be:

Oscillators
Filters
LFOs
VCAs
Envelopes
VC Mixer
Polarising mixer
Multiples
Offset/attenuators
Clock divider
Quatizer
Waveshaper
Noise/random
S&H
Matrix Sequencer

Now I think a clock sequencer would be pretty useful, but what other utility modules would you think I am missing.

Thanks for any advise

Andy

Your list certainly covers the bases.

If you want to be able to control your synthesizer via MIDI, you will want a MIDI-to-CV converter.

If you want to run external signals through your synthesizer, you may want to consider a mixer/preamp and perhaps an Envelope Follower.

You may, too, want some logic circuits -- Logical OR and Logical AND modules.

Hi Kevin,

Thanks for the reply.

I have a Voyager/VX-351 and a MP-201 that I use for midi to cv and keyboard.

The pre-amp/follower sounds like a good idea, I was thinking of a doepfer A-119 unless you have a better idea?

The logic modules I have seen seem a bit basic, I have started building a trigger/gate processor type thing using a Cypress PSoc5 SOC, this will include logic functionality. If I ever finish it that is!

Cheers

Andy
