Hey everyone,

I'm new to this forum so hello everyone! Laughing

I just bought a secondhand Nord Rack 2 a few days ago, and it's still like new, and I love the sound of it very much! It's a beast! Now the only weird thing I've encountered (and still haven't solved) is that when I go to manual mode (shift+perf) I should be able to make a sound from scratch.

The manual says when you press manual mode you can make a sound from scratch and it will play the selected bank only.

Now when I go to manual mode I see 3 horizontal lines on the LCD, and I don't hear anything if I play my midi keyboard, but it does play sounds when I just select a program in perf. mode. (but you see the LED of midi activity blinking when I play a note).

I first thought maybe something's wrong, I've tried setting Local off and on, but that was not it, and then I thought maybe something's broken, but when I go in manual mode and don't hear anything and save the program, it also doesn't play any sound if I select the program in perf mode, so I think it's not broken but still some setting that's wrong in manual mode since I've read that you can customize the manual mode settings (the previous owner probably customized the manual mode).

Does anybody know which setting it might be? I want to make sounds from scratch with this monster and can't seem to find the setting that's wrong.

Many thanks and nice forum here!

Manual Mode provides a setting which is exactly the panel. Program mode leaves out the knobs, which means a Filter could be closed, while uploading from the memory gives sound where the physical knob is wrong.

I should try all knobs.

Hey Wout,

Thanks again, fortunately it was something stupid, the gain knob was all the way to the left Very Happy

Still a nice article you posted in that link.

I told you: try all knobs...

The article is only a suggestion.
