I'm about to bend a little toy and I will try to make a pitch control and something else cool... I am hoping for a loop effect. Else, maybe feedback, or glitch.

There are advices out there on how to find the pitch bending, but what about the loop? How do you do it?

The toy, FisherPrice brand, is really simple: one button that switch randomly between 5 sounds, two melodies and 3 short sounds.

Some toys do it, but a lot of toys don't. The most common way I've found is feeding the speaker + into one of the button points on the CPU. This can be helped along by turning up the toy's volume switch (if it has one) and soldering an output socket on there. You may need an 8ohm resistor across the + and - output lugs, but sometimes this can prevent it from happening, so try a 22ohm on there. My Groovy Tunes bend has a great loop feature but it only works when it's plugged into something!

Also sometimes if you have a crystal oscillator in there you'll find a short circuit that kinda 'holds' it - see my Letter Fun PC for an example of this.

This is what I initially got working, sounds sweet! But I have made several upgrades and now it is temporally in pieces. The picture shows an early stage of that. The video feature original sounds and then new ones. I will be back!
