You have to make sure that Reaper sends midi clock, not midi time code. I haven't tried in ages, but way back Reaper did not send midi clock. Maybe that still is the case?

The only other way to do it would be to modulate the control voltage on the ouput and demodulate it back into a control voltage on the input but that is theoretical and I doubt it would work particula ...

Thanks for the explanation, it makes sense. I was still thinking too much in the normal string-pickup interaction, but in this way the strings act a bit like the coils do normally I guess.

Well, it seems the part you don't fully understand is the clavia units math. Decimal 1 is represented by 64 clavia units, 0.5 is 32 clavia units and 2 is 128 clavia units (256=4 etc, you get it).
