ferrites filter noise. however, i build with 10R resistors first to have some short protection in case something is wrong with my build. most of the time i jut leave them in.

Made a couple of LM386 amps and housed them in honey cans. The one on the left has a bumped speaker and sounds noticably crappier than the other one. Smile

I'm probably too late, but I'd take a couple of boards to help the continuation. I haven't done any SMT yet, so through hole would be preferrable.
