| A battery has a positive and a negative voltage.
You can use several ICs with one battery, as long as you make sure to connect each chip to the common negative voltage (V-, ground) |

| You're right, I suppose. LED's have a voltage drop of 0.7 volt like any diode, so it represents a certain resistance.
So I guess LED's in series take the same power, but each one will be less bright ... |
