I just saw the datasheet of the 40105. It's essentially 4 16-bit shift-registers, with common clock - and then some more. It should be ideal for this application, shouldn't it?

Might be obvious, but do you have a resistor to ground also (after the diode)? If the signal is to pass the diode there has to be a current, and that current has to go somewhere. It won't go into the ...

That's all I need to know. Sounds great! Thanks!
All we need now is that single supply version of the Wasp-filter. Wink

And what is the expected input signal peak-to-peak for this to work well?

Laughing Ha-ha! Someone has been practicing his swedish, I think! Cool.

Anyway, thanks for all the input, guys. I've come to the conclusion that I won't be including the 4089 in my own Lunetta design. ...

Hi!

Does anyone know how you would go about to use this chip as an ADC, as the datasheet suggests?

Eeeh. Aren't we talking analog comparators then? Or could I somehow make a 4-bit ADC using a 4-bit binary comparator? I don't see how.

But I definitely have to add a couple of analog comparators. ( ...

Ok. I have to add one of those as well.
Still don't see why you would want the comparer, but now I'm sure there's a good reason to add one of those as well! Smile

I'm wondering about a couple of the suggested blocks. What good are the 4 Bit Adder and Binary Comparator, other than as pieces of combinational logic that might give some unexpected(?) result. ...

Tried that. LE must be on always. If I toggle that with the strobe signal I get a constant high - until I stroke another pad that is. I would need a way to reset the outputs.
