Yes, it worked perfectly. I am surprised about the amount of noise - there is none! If anybody needs an ultracheap headphone amp, I can recommend this one for your "quick and dirty" needs.

I too suggest you redo that wiring.
I´ve been using that LFO design for some time - without any clicking.
