here is my version of this... I build the Video-Combiner and some Oscillators together to get the sync signals and to modulate the incoming signal... Everything above 2Vpp Input shoukd work ...

well the problem isnt the reset, just tie the reset of the baby10(in your case 8^^) together with the reset of the counter... to make the counter start at 1 is a bigger problem. this(!) counter will ...

i rum my baby 10 on 9 volt with no problems.. the only thing you should may change are the led resistors... just to suit them to the 9 volt instead of the 15....

maybe this could help you http://www.electricdruid.com/ her is a vclfo based on a pic but my assembler isn´t that good... maybe you can change the sourcecode of it to make an vco out of it ...
