Here's a set I did with my expanded G2 being controlled by a Roland HD-1 electronic drum set. In some parts, the HD-1 sounds are processed through the G2 also:

Why use the Master Clock at all? Maybe you could use a pulse LFO or something?

Great stuff. Everytime I try to do something similar, I end up doing rhythmic stuff all over again. It's a stigma I find so hard to break from.

Nice to have some insight on how other people perform ...

Seriously, I have an expanded G2 and find it difficult to utilize all its power. I'd go crazy if I had two.

Strike that. I'd love to have a complementary G1.

Do you agree the NL3 is much more complicated?

Not really. I find the NL3 one of the easiest synths to use, mainly thanks to its extremely well-designed interface. It certainly has more functions ...

This is very appealing. I've always wanted to buy either Tassman or VAZ Modular, which IMO are the most analog-sounding modular softsynths out there. But I already own a mid-sized dotcom modular and a ...

I'd add the Nord Lead 3. It does enough non-VA stuff like 4-op FM, various cross-oscillator modulations, dual and comb filters, etc. And it has the best interface out there.

Would fit perfectly on top of a G2 and would be great for tweaking patches on stage.
