The MOTU site only has a single manual for all their MIDI devices and it doesn't really explain which features of the controlling Windows/Mac software are disabled for each of their products. Does anyone here know what the hardware & software differences are between the MOTU MIDI Timepiece AV and the MOTU MIDI Express XT?

...i believe the differances are in the syncing capabilities (the timepiece av has midi, smpte, wordclock). i have an av, and i like it (although it was damn expensive). DO NOT BUY AN OLDER PARALELL PORT MODEL! the drivers are not very compatable with xp Sad ...a real pain in the ass.

Thanks for the advice. I'm deciding on the less expensive XT, the usb model, I need the routing but not much else beyond basic sync'ing.
