Double Notes in Cubase |
 |
|
Hi, it seems all of a sudden that when I record in Cubase via the A6 that it records double notes. I've very probably done something to cause this but have no idea what.
Is there any setting I could check onboard that may cause this?
Midi = Midi (.i.e. not Localmid)
Midi In and Out cables going to Steinberg Midex In and Out
When I swap master keyboard to the Virus Ti then the notes record fine with no prob.
Thanks for your help |

probably a midiloop.
either disable midithru for the channel your a6keyboard works on, in cubase ( i didn't find the right place in cubase 4 myself so i opted for the second solution:
or switch the a6 from locmid to mid when using cubase.
good luck, sunny |

thanks sunny...
i've had it on mid
I think midi thru (file menu/preferences) disables for all in cubase, rather than individual channels. I cant play anything when its disabled.
I've since found that everything works fine when I am using an A6 mix with one channel enabled, but as soon as I enable any more channels within the mix then it goes all double notes on me. This when I use it to activate/play any other synth via any Cubase channel.
I normally use 4 channels in any A6 mix so I cant really just make do with one enabled. Quite frustrating.
Its just occured recently out the blue (it seems), I hope its just a midi setting rather than an actual problem with the a6. |

...found it
Mix - KBD - Enable
I've set Enable = On for Mix channel 1 only as I use the A6 as a master keyboard in a multitimbral setup. If Enable = On for more than one channel in a mix then double\triple\quadruple\ etc.. notes will record in Cubase. |
