Hello

Just an enquiry really!
I am looking into some midi controllers to control different hardware, now I assume that this is possible with most midi controllers but most are geared towards controlling soft synths etc...

I would like a surface rather than a keyboard, the Peavey PC1600 or the Kenton control freak would be perfect but are hard to find!

I do not use computers at all, strictly hardware and I find myself a bit scared of Midi so I only use it for simple stuff (controlling the pulse rack and tempo syncing) I need to learn more! ha

Are there any other (cheapish 0-£250) controllers out there that I could use? (sliders and knobs needed mainly) + if there is is it possible to control parameters from various hhardware(synths/effects units) on the same surface?

sorry for the newb question! ha
Cheers

Behringer BCR and BCF2000 are really popular, and cheap. Motorized faders onthe BCF, or LOTS of LED knobs on the BCR.

funnily enough I have just been looking at those!

they do not say anything about controlling multiple hardware only computer based stuff... I assume its possible as its all the same with midi!?
Is this right?

Yep, you just need a way to chain that MIDI through your multiple devices (by using your MIDI THRU ports on those devices, or through a MIDI router).

But, the BCF/R 2000 has 2 midi ports on it already...

I can second that suggestion to JK Superstars Very Happy I have been using the BCR2000, rotary encoder unit and it's works very well and have used it in live performance.
