Expansion Card parts? |
 |
|
| When the original Expansion Card was purchased separately, were screws and/or stand-offs provided or just the card? |

I got screws & standoffs with mine.
But these parts are pretty common- you should be able to find them at a decent hardware store.
The problem I had was that one of the holes in the PCB on the expansion card didn't line up with the hole in the motherboard.
I haven't had any problems though. I don't gig with mine, and it has been sitting in my rack since 2000 or 2001.
BTW- did you sell the Micro? |

Hi,
Did you buy your expansion card new or used? I received a response from Jason at NordUSA. He said the screws come with the NM and the stand-offs with the card.
Nope, I still have the Micro in case anyone's interested! |

I bought my card new, and the NM used.
Going back now, Jason's probably correct. 6 years is to long for me to remember, but I do remember a plastic packet of some parts other than the card, that was in the box. So it's likely that they were the standoffs.
That makes sense. The screws were originally holding the motherboard to the chassis. When the card is put in, you remove the screws, screw in the standoffs, plug the card in, then the screws go into the holes on the expansion card, which are now sitting on top of the standoffs. |

Sounds right! Otherwise there's only one (visible) screw holding down the motherboard. |
