Can anyone help me find that photosensitive spray? |
 |
|
I know I haven't a chance of finding it in a local store, but can anyone help me find the stuff in an online store, preferably in the US?
I'm looking for the can described in the "Easy PCB making" thread, although anything similar would be great. I just don't feel like having to hand-draw out big circuits with the Radioshack kit...
Thanks,
Matt |

Oh damn, I just saw that stuff at You-Do-It in Needham, Ma.
I'm sure there are places closer to you, but I bet You-Do-It does mail order.
http://www.youdoitelectronics.com/ I think the answer is yes... I _________________ Garret: It's so retro.

Looks like I'll have to give them a call if no one has anything to add.
I'm somewhat surprised by their website. You can't even buy stuff online, nor do they have a decent product list.
Oh well, beggars can't be choosers. |

Actually, I think so! Thanks a TON!
I'm still going to call and ask about it though, because they hardly give a description and I'd like to make sure it's the right stuff.
I'm getting giddy. |

Yes, my profile says UK, because I have lived in London for the past 9 years. However, I grew up in Waltham, MA, and went to WPI in Worcester, so I know my way around those parts (I lived in Sterling back in the early 80s when I was a student at WPI). And I just spent 3 weeks on "shore leave", literally, down on the South Shore, but I had to pass You-Do-It on the way up 128 to my mom's in Waltham. The place hasn't really changed a lot since I was a kid in the '70s, and I've been shopping there that long. I bought my 'scope there when I lived in Connecticut and needed a scope (now 12 years ago). It was worth shopping there for the prices. UK prices are basically US prices with a £ instead of a $, and with the pound at $2.03 today it's worth the extra packing.
Yeah their website could use some work. _________________ Garret: It's so retro.

cool, i grew up in lexington...have lived in waltham, and now live in leominster (not far from sterling). ...i also have memories as a kid of going to "youdoit", and always passing it on the highway.
don't know if they are still doing it, but there used to be a monthly "technology flea market" at mit...which is where i got my scope
pm me your email and i'll add you to our party list (our friend alasdair, who works at brandeis, often comes to our parties and takes the train).

Small world after all, innit. I'll PM you my email. We're back in those parts next July for another month, if I don't go back sooner for anything. I aim to get my 2600 out of its deep storage (where it was left for our "2-3 years expat assignment") sooner or later, but I might not bring it to the UK, I might leave it up in Waltham at our other storage place. Who knows. Ah well. It's a small world. _________________ Garret: It's so retro.
