Is anyone aware of a way to send a MIDI message to the NM that tells it not to use a certain slot? Loading patches over MIDI is no problem but unloading doesn't seem to be documented? Is the only workaround to store a empty patch and load that?

Or hack the Nomad code and do it over the PC port ...

Hmmm, that whole editor-synth hand-shake takes too much time for what I want. I think I'll load a blank patch then. Thanks.

Is your goal just to silence the audio in a certain slot, or is there anther factor?

Well, it's about automating the NM in my live-set. The NM is doing one lead and one bass line anyway but I'm considering that the two spare patches could keep themselves busy with stuff like FX. The main thing I want is turning off the leds for slot 3&4 when not in use to have a visual indication those aren't being used. That's basically the only thing I care about, it's not even about CPU cycles as I'm doing chords -where used- within one cpu because I'm morphing from note to note all the time and the build in polyphony management can't do that.

Silencing the audio isn't the hard bit :¬).
