The Mac Observer recently reported that Apple has filed for a patent of "Graduated visual and manipulative translucency for windows" on November 5, 2003, which was officially published by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) as US Patent Application No. 20040090467 on May 13, 2004. Which is a continuation of US Patent No. 6,670,970, which was filed on December 20, 1999 and published on December 30, 2003.
