Did anybody else see this posted on Clavia.se?

If the person who dumped the LSD into the Stockholm water-works could kindly contact me through PM?

Actually, it is a build for XP, too! Laughing

Yes, it would be unfortunate to have the new editor/drivers broken in xp, and no one knows about it.

Reading the posts I think reports and comments about the beta testing should be send to Clavia and not to EM.com. Enthusiastic cheering and happy cries are difficult to keep inside, I know Smile

My other reason is my hands are still recovering. Takes time. But I need the mouse and keyboard exercise (no dirty pun intended), so I may try it still.

I removed the URL from the above message, when it needs to be a public URL I consider it to be Clavia's task to publish it - I know it is password protected, but still.

Well, is it a G2 O.S. update or only an editor / driver update?

Hi
If any of you Nord Modular G2 owners would like to spend an hour or two, trying to break the upcoming Vista and MacIntel compatible G2 updater and the Editor, please get in touch with me by sending an email to feedback [at] clavia.se.

This would involve a download from your side of a few megabytes, we cannot provide CDs at this point.

We would especially welcome anyone who has 64 bit versions of Vista and also XP to give it a spin.

My god.
I've been checking this thread for months, and now I see Clavia are talking AND "porting" the software for the MacIntels.
I never thought I'd see the day.

Kudos to Clavia.

Now, about this guitar floor-pedal version of the G2 that I need...

Hi to evyone!

Or send loads of money to the administrators of EM.com! They make the communication possible and unfortunately nothing is free anymore now-a-days...

Hi to evyone!

Would a footswitch/pedal array which sends out program changes and other midi messages connected to the G2 work?
One pedal (not a switch) could vary specified CC values, and other pedals/switches could invoke/bypass the G2 input (aka wet/dry) or vary the amount of signal fed into the G2.

Something similar to Emmett Chapman's "Patch Of Shades" comes to mind, but in a modern-day package.

OT.
You could, but there's the guitar's impedance, you need a DI and preamp or maybe just an appropriate preamp to get into the G2.
Then, the output. If it's going to an amp, the signal would need conversion to perfectly match the signal for a good tube amplifier.

I do use the G2 on guitar, but after the amp is recorded.

To be able to tweak and design your own flavours of filter, delays, distortions, wahs, rotarys, modulators and all the off-the-wall (synth) stuff, in a stomper format would be a killer tool for me.
Stick on a couple of treadles... to use for wah/vol/anything.
Even convolution, for loading custom cab IR tones etc. (but I'm not sure the DSP could handle that). With amp models on-board, I think L6 would worry.
