I feel like i'm hogging the board with my questions but here we go.

What's the simplest way to make an octave doubler? What is want to do is have switches for different timbres (obviously most of them will be waveforms) but i want one that adds on the first harmonic (1 octave higher).

What's the simplest way of doing this?

If this is a complicated procedure then a sine wave on its own will suffice.

It depends on the waveform you want to double ... for a triangular wave you can use full wave rectification followed by a DC shift, and for a sine the signal can be multiplied by itself, followed by a DC shift ... the outgoing wave shape will then be the same as the ingoing one.
