controlling korg r3

hi

i have connected the nord to the r3 with midi. i now want to set up a configuration so that a patch on my nord stage (os 4.12) will recall a certain patch on the R3. That sound from the R3 should only be triggered from one zone at the nord stage keyboard. But I cannot get this to work. The keys on my nord stage triggers the R3 all the time (not only in the desired zone).
Has anybody any suggestions on how to get this to work?

stage os 4.1x has improvements in the external section.
its only available for the classic,if you have the ex you might have to wait for the new os.
the zones are set up by splitting the keybed,then choosing a zone by double tapping the on button in the desired section.the 3 green lights show what zones are active low mid hi
