BOM Capacitor confusion |
 |
|
Sorry if this is a stupid question.
I'm working through stuffing the digital board at the moment and realised I have a missing set of parts, the 100nF Capacitors. Now I've just noticed on the digital BOM it says they are these from Digikey (which are also out of stock for 4weeks ) however on the Build issue 6 PDF they are listed as Ceramic, are these the same thing?
Now I dont want to particular order just these from Digikey, best to get them locally here in the UK, but which type are they and do they need to be 63V as mouser have the 100V version in stock? _________________ Eurorack Modular Planner |

Hey Modular Planner,
You can use just about any 100n (0.1 uF) ceramic or poly cap for those - they're all just IC power bypass caps. Just be sure to order a size that will fit (it would have to be a very large voltage value before it got too big). If you'd like, send me a link to where you plan on getting them over in the UK - we can check them out and make sure they'll work.
Cheerios,

Rapid Elecronics seems to have both equivalents, the metal poly order code looks like 10-3260 (4p each) and 08-1020 is a ceramic version (13.8p).
Looking on my digital board mine were the metal poly ones. _________________ Garret: It's so retro.

Hey Modular Planner,
If you bought the parts from sMs Audio Electronics and they were missing, I will send you the lot of this capacitors for free. I think the quantity is 29.

You're ok, this was all self sourced. I always miss a few bits in the confusion of self sourcing the first of a new project _________________ Eurorack Modular Planner |
