Subject description: Suggestions wanted for exhibition

Hi everyone, I'm putting together some Lunetta modules as part of an exhibition showing in November. I'm looking for suggestions of what to build. I want each module to be an interesting unit on its own. The first design I'm settled on is a 4-stage 4093 gated oscillator like this one I made.

I think the 4093 is ideal because it satisfies these requirements:
- one IC
- endless audio possibilities
- highly musical but still glitchy
- minimal controls (4 pots)
- easy to add blinky whizzbang leds
- no instruction manual necessary

Can you suggest anything similar? Thanks!
Rich

I imagine it's similar to this one?

Just want to add that in my personal opinion the best values are 1meg for the pot and 0.047uF for the caps. Adding a switch to choose between 2 or 3 different caps is also a nice addition.

For a simple module with good musical potential you can't beat a melodygen and 4 oscillators (or 1 and a divider). Another great way to get good metalic glitchy sound is to add a 4070 XOR gate IC. Look around, there are plenty of cool ideas here.

if your circuits are going to be on 'display', use photocells instead of pots. I've noticed people love to play with dem photocells (plus its cheap!)

get some long wire so people from different corners of the room can play with the photocells and interact with the same circuit.. and suddenly its art!
