Haha! Well don't wet yourself! haha...
I am just waiting on the funds to make the board order. Everything is hunky-dorey with the layout!
I am acquiring a sum of money on September 1st, so I will probably make the order that day, or the day after! |

I for one would be more than happy to plunk down my money in advance if it would mean getting my boards sooner, and I suspect I'm not alone. Just say the word and my cash is yours. |

Hmm...well, I don't really feel right asking for that unfortunately. Also, I had planned to order MORE than people are asking for, in order to have a bunch of spares. So, unfortunately that would not work well, since I would not have enough to make the order I had planned
Thank you very much for the offer, though! Sorry y'all have to wait so long! I would do it sooner if I could!!! |

Well, i know im slow as mollasses (tons going on at the mo) but all the parts have arrived now so I will get building asap!
My only issue is finding a way of triggering it so i know if it works or not. I need to build the vca and envelope as well.
Ill keep you informed, and watch this thread with interest.
Cheers

Lotto?? Liquor store??
Glad to hear you can predict... I should be so organized. September sometime works for me. I'm just happy to see the thread come back to life and to hear that there's a plan.

Haha! xD
Actually, my tuition loans are coming in, and there is a substantial amount of money in the "Miscellaneous" category of funding for my school year.
This is the fund that most people pull $1,000 out of to buy a laptop or computer with. I'm not into laptops at school (I think they actually distract learning), so I'd rather fund the board run for this out of it |

Well done!!!! If this place doesn't count for "miscellaneous education" I have no idea what does.

I guess it is too late to add a .com or MOTM power header is it?
Its not really a big deal, i can bodge something up, but it would be nice. |

I was thinking of making a dual euro/MOTM header part for my library. I will do it, and as long as it does not change the board size I will incorporate it. |

im no expert, but having just designed a pcb myself and fallen foul of this problem, i would like to point out that the power connector you are using there requires a little more clearance than you have given it with R1. the plastic housing for the power connector sticks out about 5mm more than the pins on the edge.
just a thought....... |

Ah, good eye! I suppose it would interfere with one of those shrouded headers, yup!
I had actually intended it to be used with just plain old .1" headers, but it wouldn't make sense to leave it just because I'm assuming people would do the same -- hehe.
Thanks for the comment |

Bummer...looks like MOTM/.com connectors won't fit reasonably. I gave it my best...made a compact custom part for my layout library, referencing datasheets and such, but it interferes with the current routing too much to fit it in.
The Eurorack connector and layout is being updated to be a proper polarized IDC connector as suggested.
Sorry guys -- I really did try! |
