Thought I'd kick off my first post here with something I made recently that (I thought) was interesting.

The guts are basically a DS8 clone kit (with some minor bends & mods) plus a bypassable vacuum tube overdrive/distortion circuit.

Features;

*Custom designed and etched brass faceplate
*White pearl knobs
*Touch sensitive white leather drum pad
*NOS Plessey & Sprague tone caps

all the Sounds in the soundcloud demo are from the DS8? can you explain a bit how you record this? (when i use my ds8 its more a "Pheeeeeew" sound or it sounds like a simple dubsiren ... Wink

)
