the first patch i made on my g2 allowed me to play my korg kaossilator with the g2 keys, which is FANTASTIC, but I have some serious gripes with the midi section...

only note, cc, and program recieve? how is the rest of the spec left out? it feels like midi section is waaaayyyyy too sparse, even though it was touted as one of the main improvements over the g1

what about generating and processing sysex? the roland JX3P and JX8P are two immediately applicable synthesizers from way back that would really benefit from this kind of thing, and I'm sure there are many others out there!
why cant we generate arbitrary hex, even if it breaks the midi spec...?
All notes off! All sounds off! Controller reset! pitch bend!

could have easily implemented state machines for other synthesizers, and G2 patches could have acted as entire librarians with random patch generator functions, etc. for older synths.

such a shame. clavia should open-source the usb driver and the editor if the g2 is discontinued.

I'm not sure if there's a workaround for what you're trying to achieve, but

I agree. Maybe some skilled people around here could even be able to fix some of the annoying G2's bugs...
