Hi there:

I do a fair amount of work in Eagle.

When I'm done I print out the PCB and schematic and then hand draw in things like pots and jacks and wires.

I could do this in the eagle schematic, by getting rid of "devices" and just using dummy symbols, but that doesn't help with showing wiring vis a vis the PCB, which would be more practical.

In eagle if you put a part in a schemo it has to be located on the board before you can annotate it. You can't draw wires unless something is on a PCB.

Q: What do folks use to take a board and superimpose good looking notes for how to wire the thing? How do you do this in general? I was thinking autocad, photoshop, illustrator, but none are a great fit. Any ideas?
