I’ve been meaning to do this for quite some time, and I finally made a 16 minute video demonstrating my rare French early synthesizer, The Ondioline.

Wow, I just love the sounds that this thing can make, I wish that I had one!

Do you know if schematics are available for it anywhere?

Take care,
Doug

Hi
great to see a video from this beast!
It's in my top 3 of the rarest and most interesting french "modern" (I mean before the classic synth designs) instruments along with the Ondes Martenot, and the Cristal Baschet.

@Doug / The Peasant, the schematics and full documentation is available on Dana's website:
https://www.danacountryman.com/jenny/ondiolinemanual2010.pdf

But as you'll see the mechanical construction is a part of the oscillator controls, this could be very complicated to replicate.

Thanks for the link mph, very nice!

I'm not so much interested in recreating an actual Ondoline, but just being able to achieve the timbres that it generates. I'm sure that I could rig up something for the oscillator controls.

Do you know where I could find the values of the three inductors, C, G, and H? The documentation just states that they can be ordered from the manufacturer as far as I can tell.

Take care,
Doug
