I have noticed a trend started by HM Mosc Himself.
I do not know if He is aware of it but His frequent change of Avatars is really a new form of communication. It reminds me of the graffiti of the cave man. We can say that avatars are the equivalent of graffiti for the Space Age.
He's an avatar artist and has already a few followers, Static Strobe Emitter for example. I'll try to catch up to them but I do not know if I am up to this daunting tusk (oops, task) Very Happy

I'm not working on this as art, it's just I get sick looking at myself. Sometimes I like to change the view. Laughing

How does the avatar API work?

Is it not theoretically possible to look into a table wich then picks an avatar randomly from a list of entries? Possibly using date/time or random based picking of the avatar to show?

As it seems to work now.. each user has only one entry to keep the avatar reference value.. and it can either be local or external..?

Anything is possible, but I'm not up to write a bunch of avatar code. You have it right. Now each user can have a single avatar, when you update the avatar, your avatar magically changes for all past posts. Avatars can be uploaded from the profile page.

Great, Joseph. Looks like you got the music bug at a young age too. What kind of synth are you playing there anyway? Laughing Laughing
