Hi all,

I finally got around to exporting one of my Cubase projects to
an audio file. It's a work in progress, but it shows off the A6 and Blofeld working together pretty well. There's also a little MicroX doing log drums near the end. Just an experiment of mine, more an improvisation than a composition, at least so far.

It needs some work, but I liked where it was going.

Russ

I liked that - a lot. It's nice to hear some pentatonic-based stuff for a change and the percussion is very soulful at the end. Timbrally, I like the contrast between the noodley sounds and the drums, gives a nice atmosphere. Good work!

Jyoti,

Thanks! Funny, I hadn't intended for it to be so rooted in pentatonic, but that's
what came out, and I was happy with how it worked. I'm working on developing the log drum section some more, and will likely do a reprise of the beginning to finish up. I think it could stand to explore another key or two in the middle, so that the recapitulation comes as a resolution to the exploration of other keys.

I hope I can get some time to work on it soon; today I'm doing laundry and vacuuming the house...

Russ

If anybody's interested, a small excerpt of this piece was featured at the beginning of the Spacemusic.nl podcast a couple weeks ago; the episode titled "Senseo Sundays ::: Forma Tadre"

http://spacemusic.nl/

Now that winter is approaching, I'm hoping to dust off some of my older tracks like this one and actually *finish* one or two of them.

My Andromeda got a little workout a couple weeks ago scoring music for my teams' entry in the 48 Hour Film Project, so I'm anxious to do some more as soon as things settle down a little and I have some time.

What's everybody else been working on? Haven't seen a lot of music posted here lately.

Russ

Sadly, I've not been on here due to family health issues. But I still check every now and then. I'm planning to do some more videos soon, this time with the Andy + my 5D mk2. Smile

Thanks, it's basically my Dad's health. Not good at all. Fingers crossed about further tests.

I miss e-m loads but I just haven't been in the right frame of mind to hang out. Maybe I shall start spouting nonsense in the Schmooze section again, it might be therapeutic!

Always nice to read you around, Jyoti! Hoping for the best for your dad and you.
