About 10 years ago I bought 3 proteus 1s and 2 proteus 2 modules for about 30 each on eBay. All but 1 worked well, one proteus 2 was very noisy, like digital clock noise.

10 years later, all but one proteus 1 has some of the same noise. One quits after about 2 minutes, and they all started out that way.

If anyone can steer me to a fix I would appreciate it. We have 3 sets of key pedals uned in my band and we are use to using the basic proteus modules. The B3 sound is very good for a 30 dollar used unit. They have several good background fill, key pedal type sounds from the factory, and I’m not looking to learn a mew module just for key pedal fill.

Since these have a built in power supply (no wall wort), that's the first place I would look.
