Psycho lfo wiring question |
|
|
I need a clarification regarding the unused 40106 pins https://imgur.com/a/EmmwqPY
Is pin 11 & pin 14 wired to Ground, pin 7 to -vee, pin 10 wired to pin 13? pin 12 is left untouched ?
am I reading it the right way? |

affirmative
IC1E and IC1F are just unused gates and with CMOS chips you should never leave inputs unconnected. The reason pin 10 is connected
to 13 is probably because it was more convenient with the layout but you could also connect pin 13 to something else.
edit: it looks like on the PCB design those gates are swapped but it works just the same. _________________ "My perf, it's full of holes!"

Thanks. I was mainly unsure about pin 10 & 13. You made it clear.
I have another question regarding combining the psycho lfo(https://sdiy.info/wiki/CGS_psycho_LFO) and half of the utility lfo (https://sdiy.info/wiki/CGS_utility_LFO) at the same stripboard.
While the psycho lfo get its +- 12/15 v after a 33r resistor. the utility lfo get its power after a ferrite bead.
If I would like to combine the two circuits to the same stripbard, meaning both will share the same power, can I just omit the ferrite bead at the utility lfo and provide the utility circuit with the same power as the pyscho?(after the 33r resistor) ?
Is there anything wrong with the above ?
Hope I made MY question clear
Thanks |

by adding the beads you mean that the utility lfo will get is power like in the original - meaning after the beads and the psycho lfo will get is power after the resistor, also as in the original ? |
