G2 silence when changing patches

Did anyone ever solve or find a workaround for the two seconds of silence that occur when you change patches with the G2. I was just at a gig where a friend of mine was performing with the G2, when this happened. I completely forgot about that issue.

I don't think that would be possible.

When sending a patch you are updating the code that runs on the DSPs. It would be impossible to keep the old code generating sound while sending the new one, since it basically ceases to exist.

I ended up using two G2s and a small mixer - had done that with the nm classic too btw.
