Hello to everybody!I own a Micromodular and i have a dream...A G2 Engine!
I try to suppress the G2 addiction by using the G2 demo.
So here is an mp3 with a sample from X-Dream(psy-techno trance group from Germany).Does anyone knows how to produce the atmosphere sound, not the bassy reso-pad that evolves underneath but the main sound.
Thanks a lot guys!

That’s not very different to some of the choir patches in the PAD section. Most of then use reverb so they won’t run on the demo Sad .
The VP330 patch uses a trick from the Roland vocoder plus ‘choir’ section where the formant filters follow the chorus. This creates a stronger vocal character because the formants are not smeared by the chorus processing.

Well thank you very much!About the reverb:i open the patches with the editor, delete the reverb or other modules not included in the demo and then i examine the patch parameters with the demo,if the modules deleted don't affect the patch signal route or structure dramatically!
Thank's anyway!
I am going to sleep so that i will be dreaming of a g2 again!

For breathy "ahh" sounds, of course the vocal filter can help, but I have had great results using the G2's "Noise Osc". Not the noise gen, but the osc that produces the resonant tuned noise effect. Try using two or three of these, tuned to high partials of the main osc frequency (like 10:1, 12:1 and 14:1) and mix in just a bit on top of the usual detuned saws or whatever. Experiment with the 'shape' of the noise. Works well for rompler-vox effects.
