Hi,

Yes, here's the right place Smile

First of all, the Manual is always download able from Clavia's site in pdf format. It's on page 14.

Activate the split by pressing the button.
Activate at least two Slots, best is Slot A and Slot C.
Slot A will sound in the lower half, Slot C in the upper half.
After this, select the sounds you want to use.
By [Shift+Split] you can change the splitting point of your keyboard.
Be sure Slot C+D are set to the same output. [Manual page 59]
Mostly Slot A+B are set in stereo [ab3], so when you select Slot C+D it has to be [cd-], which means the same as Slot A+B.

If your synth is a NordLead(Rack) or NordLead(Rack)2, you'll need a PCMIA card to save the settings as a performance; no problem to do this on a NordLead(Rack)2X.

Wheel and PitchStick are global, so if you use for your right hand a lead sound and in the left a beautiful bass, the later will change in pitch too!

Hope all is clear...

Wout

Forgot to write: when playing any key, while holding [Shift+Split], that key will be the lowest key of the upper part.

Do you have two Slots activated?
Slot A & B are used for the lower part, Slot C & D for the upper part.

How about the output routing of Slot C?
If it's set to output 3 and you're only using output 1 & 2...

Hey, I just noticed you changed your last mail!
I was writing a long story and at the same moment you solved your own problem Smile

Just for the records, here is my, for the moment redundant, answer:

gabbe wrote:

Well, there is of course the Manual, downloadable at Clavia's site:
http://www.clavia.se/products/manuals.htm#nl2
Take a look at page 59 - Out Mode.
BTW it continues on page 60 Wink

Further more, if you have a NordLead2(X), it's also written in the text on the panel itself, the second item.
It reads:
OUT MODE
....
Slot C and D
-.cd Slot C and D routed same as A and B

...

Anyway, press [Shift+SlotB] > Out Mode.
press [SlotB] (without the Shift) again and you'll find the settings of Slot C & D.
When it reads [-.cd] it will copy the settings of Slot A & B.
If there is another setting, e.g. [4.cd], change the first value to [-.cd] using the the up & down buttons beneath the display.
Of course the Slot A & B settings have to be [1.ab] Smile
Let me know if it works...

The NordLead has a very open and easy to understand interface, apart of these kind of [Shift] functions, which work using menu's. At the other hand, once set the synth will mostly stay this way, until it will find a new owner.

That's what the Electro and Stage are for...
If you want to do it on a Lead, you have to think about performances.

Let us know about some results, because with a little help it can be done.

hi Boys, i revive this topic for solve a following problem:

¿ my Nord Lead 2 requires of some trick for activated KBD Split ?

when buy it 4 months ago (I am the third owner), i was in the same situation than now, which did not work the KBD Split, at that time, had found on the internet, a procedure to enable the KBD Split, and I remember than had to press a combination of buttons.. or configure something
It was different from that specified in the manual
and had worked
but now I press the KBD Split and only trigger a Do3 note as if it were a Nord Lead 2 Rack
