it seems like worn potentiometers...

replacing them is the right choice, but you can do a patch... (at your own risk)

there is a spray for this, i´ve seen once in an electronics repair shop, some 25 years ago and the guy was getting easy money from dumb clients just using it for repair instead of doing the right replacement procedure, but i caught him on the act and this is why i remember.

NEVER use petrol based lubricant sprays like wd-40 inside the potentiometer as they can melt/soften the fenolite substrate that holds the thin carbon layer, the result, after some time, is disastrous.

the one i´ve seen was called

lube-a-trol (yellow can with black letters)

and if i´m correct, it was designed to be sprayed inside potentiometers.

it sprays a grayish foam that can extend a little more of the potentiometer life, while searching for a new one.

banzaieffects.com should have similar knobs, but it takes abt a month to get the order...
