Patch: Bar arpeggiator Subject description: A nice arpeggiator patch |
 |
|
Here's a patch called "barpeggiator 6tone". It's an arpeggiator that syncs to midicklock, can hold up to 6 notes and will resync at every bar border.
This is the first time I've managed to make a sensible arpeggiator on the NM1. I found it hard to make the basic components for this unit and I'd like to share my findings so I enclose two pictures explaining and describing how this unit is made.
Closer description:
- The arpeggiator will always play the current state until a bar border.
- It will play the notes that where pressed before the latest bar border.
- It will play 1-6 notes, repeatedly in the order they were pressed.
- Even if nothing is changed, the arpeggiator will always start from the first note at bar borders, making the time signature more obvious even for odd key numbers.
- As long as one key is held down one can add new notes.
- When all keys are released, the memory will be cleared next time a key is pressed. Starting all over.
- If more than 6 keys are pressed the result is undefined - although quite nice.
- Seems like this arpeggiator cannot handle interactive tempo changes.
Hope someone can enjoy this.

The patch, zipped for compability. It needs midiclock running to work. Always start playing at the beginning of a bar. |

Nice one (even though I dont use the Classic very much anymore), and you even left some room for a synth
BTW, there should be no need to zip patches, was there ? _________________ Jan

OK. I belive I read something about Mac/PC problems with patches and since I'm on Mac I thought it would be better.
Since the classic is so small I thought I'd keep it as an auxiliary unit. My G2 should arrive later this week |

We had a lot of trouble with that on the mailing list yes, but when you'd add a pch extension (just to be nice to the PC people) all should be fine I guess. _________________ Jan
