2 octave? That sounds kinda cool. Are these units in the "dirt cheap" category yet? _________________ Kassen |

unfed: not the same. pitch shifted yes - but patton's is more garbled, more modulated. on the pre-delays i set all different times and it sounds like the 4 pitch-shifted voices garbled together - but in order to even remotely emulate the effect i am having to 'sing' in a 'death-metal' growl. i don't think on the effect patton is using he is having to do this. SP's is a more digital and standard pitch shift imho. still cool though |

I've been unexpectedly working away from home in the last couple of days Hyde so I didn't really get anywhere with patching, but I was listening to the track on my iPod yesterday and I'd definitely agree that a lot of the chunky texture is coming from analogue distortion somewhere. _________________ Steve |

I obviously haven't seen you'r video footage, but I wouldn't count it out for Patton to be growling. Ever hear his interpretation of a moth trapped in a jar? (In my opinion, that's his signature move--the contrast of grunts & growls to meloldic singing.)
Anyway, neither here nor there.. |

OT: I just read through all of this and wanted to say thanks, too, for the Wikipedia link. I didn't know about this and it helps me a lot.
Phallic emoticons: These one always made me think of something:
Here the creator got something wrong: it should be two heads and one ear:
And this one is sometimes embarrassing
