Sorry, I haven't got any experience with Sound Tower, but if it's being mean to you, you might want to consider trying MQEdit instead. It's free, so there's nothing to lose: http://www.psrsoftware.com/mQEdit/index.html
I only discovered this wonderful piece of software yesterday, and I must say that having instant access to all parameters via an editor really does make a difference. All of the sudden I fell completely in love with my Micro-Q again (resulting in me staying up all night playing with it... embrace the madness!).
Couldn't get it to work on my MacBook though, but whatever... at least now I can put my cursed PC laptop to some good use.
Anyway, just thought I'd post the link, in case anyone is interested. _________________ "The miraculous image of sound washed ashore..." |

| +1 on microqedit. I have been using it for at least a year and it really helps. It still has it's bugs, but at least I didn't pay for it. The guy did a fairly decent job on it, but he is a pc guy, meaning some of the minor features (like the skin for instance) don't work on mac. I should go check for an update as I haven't in a while. |

MQEdit itself seems to start just fine on my MacBook. It seems to be some kind of MIDI issue; it crashes the second I try selecting an in/output in the preferences. The software is pretty old by now so I'm thinking maybe it's an issue with Intel Mac compatibility. Oh well, works fine on the PC anyway.
Going slightly off topic, if you'll forgive my hijacking of the thread, does anyone know if there's a good (preferably free/cheap ) editor for the Microwave II/XT? I'm contemplating getting an MWII, but have a strong suspicion I'll need some kind of editing software to make good use of it, what with the stripped down interface and all. Or maybe I should just wait until an XT pops up somewhere. _________________ "The miraculous image of sound washed ashore..." |

Ah, the good old VB6 "Run-time error '9': Subscript out of range".
Someone forgot to check if an item at a specific index really exists.

Looks like they checked. New version (v.5.??) out as of November. Mac and PC compatable. Looks like a small upgrade price for existing owners of old VB version. Nice; couple bugs in November; fixed next week. Some new features...Librarian has drag and drop and the MIXER is really nice touch for muliti's. I don't have a lot of time to get to it but came up in GOoogle search.
