Yup, finally I have ordered a G2 keyboard with the expansion.

This is without any doubt the most expensive piece or hardware I have ever bought (including my Motif ES 6). Now I may sell the G2 Engine... or keep it, I don't know... now I am really POOR!

By the way, I want to say thanks to all of you who have made those great patches, without this little community and all the free patches the G2 experience wouldn't be so great.

Cheers,
Albert

Congratulations! To plop down big bucks $$ seems a leap of faith however down the road when you are enjoying your synth the initial pain will be forgotten.

When I look back on equipment purchases I have made over the years, the only purchases I ever regretted were ones where I decided to save a few bucks and settle for less. I have never regretted purchasing top-of-the-line equipment.

The most notable example that comes to mind is:

My first digital synth was a Casio CZ3000. $600. I decided to save $300 and not buy a CZ1 (touch sensitive). I spent the next 15 years asking myself, "Why didn't I spend the extra $300!!!"

(Note: Inexpensive equipment is fine as long as it meets the need. The "pain" occurs when equipment is inadequate, regardless of the cost.)

While I don't own a G2 (though that is subject to change Smile ) I can see that it is a great synth that one probably will not outgrow.

"Buy the best and cry only once!"

Enjoy!
