been searching for a bit and can't find any info. I thought it had been discussed before, but now i'm unable to dig that thread up.

Is there a CC to control the Master Clock?

I know 80 will start/stop, but what about changing the tempo?

The manual doesn't list it, and I think the manual is pretty OK, unfortunately, in this case.

dang. i use an engine and i'm trying to get away from using my computer as master clock. seems better to have a hardware clock, but none of my hardware allows for CC control of tempo?!!?

o well. thanks for confirming.

The clock usually is controlled through MIDI clock messages, doesn't your equipment support that ?

absolutely, but when i send clock from the computer (reaktor or ableton) it is not so steady (variations of +/- a BPM or two). i can send good solid clock from the evolver to the nord or vice-versa. however, neither one of these devices let's me control the tempo over CC though. I use the rackmount version of each and therefore don't have dedicated tempo knobs anywhere in site Sad

working on a reaktor solution right now. seems like the only option.

The evolver wont sync OK to the computer and send a good clock out to theG2 as well ?

People report the G2 to be pretty picky on PC clocks, don't know about the evolver, but in general it's a trade off between speed of following/syncing-on the master (on changing speed) and being steady.

Alternatively maybe the PC and the evolver could both listen to the G2 clock ? (which won't work when the speed has to change I guess ...)

the evolver behaves just like the G2 in this case (+/- a BPM or two). that's why i believe the software clock is not the best master. The G2 will lock solidly to the Evolver and vice-versa. But if either is fed from the computer, there is some instability.

this was my hope, but i need tempo control. i don't suppose anyone has figured out a way to send clock from within a patch? if i could do that, then i could obviously get CC control of the clock module.
