Hi everyone. I've been reading here for a couple of months now, but this is my first post.

I just got a G2, but it's at home and I'm currently working abroad, which I will be doing for another month. Before I decided to buy the G2, I spent some time with the demo so I know my way around enough to start planning all the fantastic patches I'll build when I get home. Wink

But now I have a question, and since I can't use the demo here (due to reasons I don't care to explain), I would prefer if any ideas on the subject would be discussed instead of shown by patches. Smile

Now to the question (sorry for the long introduction): Is it possible to alter the starting point for a sequencer module? I would like to be able, by the value from a knob or the key information from a midi signal, to select another step than the first to start a sequencer. I can't think of any solution for this, can you?

welcome plastocid

Can't find it right now, but I think the subject has been discussed here a good while ago.

here is a nice stepper that does (among other things) variable starting point.

The clock based sequencers are quite limited in functionality but you can do almost anything with the SeqCtr and a few other modules.

Thanks for the replies. It seems a bit tricky to do, just as I thought it would. Anyway, I can't wait to come home to my G2 to realize the hundreds of ideas I have. Smile
