Hi all,

I'm new to this forum, and have been really enjoying the sounds in the Media / MP3 area.

I'll be sure to post something up here soon, and in the meantime, I'm hoping those of you who are into composing with computers (or at least recording sounds with computers) will check out a project that I'm just now getting off the ground:

It's a site for sharing original sounds, snippets, loops, and it's got a great interface for quickly browsing and downloading tons of stuff. (everything's free of course, zero ads.)

Anyhow, the reason I'm posting this message here is that I'm also running a composition contest which you'll see listed in the forums on sampleswap. Compose a short song, win a DVD of fantastic samples for use on your own projects.

I have used sampleswap... it's a VERY VERY useful site.

Haven't had time to contribute much yet but perhaps soon...

Thanks, good idea. Will do.

BTW added a brand new sample-browsing interface at sampleswap.org last night. Mass rapido! I like it even better than using my OS filesystem now. :/
