Any recommendations for decent software oscilloscopes for looking at the signals generated by the Nord (or other equipment for that matter)?

Ideally it would run both within music prog (VSTi etc) and as a stand alone (on Windows pc).

Even more ideal would be the ability to run in both stereo (allowing the monitor of phase) and mono modes (seeing actual waveforms), even, even more ideal would be one which doesn't hammer the pc's cpu.

Many thanks

iP

Some time ago I used TFD Scope , although as far as I remember it was a bit CPU expensive. Easy and user friendly one though.

There's a good free (as in beer) VST one called "inspector", I forgot where I got it.

This one looks nice as well;

(free as in freedom as well as form)

That's it! That's the one I use most of the time for actual work. It's not so clear on the phase-corelation side, at least not compared to one of those 2d shapes, IMHO but in return it does have a very clear RMS meter.

Sndpeek is still quite cool (and a version is also built into the Audicle ChucK editor). It's realy good for showing off visualisation of sound to people because you can rotate the 3d visualisation in real time and so on. Would be good for presentations and classes, I think.
