i thought NL2 and NM1 share the same engine while NL3 and G2 use a new one..isnt that wright?
That's wwwright!

i was reffering to Nm1 to G2 conversions and expect the same detail difficulties when trying to do perfect NL2 sounds on the G2
I know and this is of course the same here. In a way it would be nice to emulate the NordLead in the G2, because it has much more possibilities, like internal FX, but already owning a Lead, what is the effort worth? Smile

At the other hand, and I think you will agree, trying to do so is a wonderful 'learning project' towards both synths! So, a thesis:

'It's an example of a-social behavior to create emulations of synths into another one and publish this to be used by the community, because it's obstructing synthesizer programming abilities growth of that community!'

Smile

And Clavia won't sell Leads anymore...
Nah... It has still that wonderfull interface!

I just sold my G2 engine and Expanded Classic rack to be able to buy an G2 keys expanded. Great machine but i really would like to be able to at least come close to the G1 sound in some situations. Or else i might want to buy a micromodular to fill that gap.

Any progress?

Yeah i like it a lot, and having the expansion rocks aswell. But still it would be nice to have the tools to do that Nord Lead sound if you want to.

Very Happy

Why so sad Wout? I want to congratulate you on this new computer move well-done well-done

I did recently change my avatar, to reflect who I am, not the gear I use. Just some changes I have been going through.

It is less trouble some than it was on your old computer. Most things will work (that did not), unless they are specific for your existing Windows OS Wink

Time to find your install disks Wink
